"Christmas" A Sacred Religious Holiday!!

“What is Christmas? It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present and hope for the future.” _____ Agnes M. Pharo

Christmas is a feeling of hope and a kind of magic wand which makes everything beautiful. Each year Christmas is celebrated on 25th December, spreading love and peace to make the world a better living place. Christmas is celebrated worldwide in about 160 countries with different cultures and beliefs.

While talking about Christmas, it may be celebrated three days on 24th December called Christmas eve and on the 25th December the actual Christmas day and on boxing day 26th December.

Christmas Origin:

Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus on 25th December in the mid-winter, and the most popular narrative about Christmas is the “Nativity of Jesus.” Christians had a widespread belief that on that day, Jesus was born whose teachings are the foundation of their religion, although the birth date is not mentioned in the Bible. In 1870 Christmas was declared as a federal holiday in the United States.

Norse celebrate yule from mid-December to January. Similarly, Europeans also celebrate the sun in winters even before the birth of Jesus. In Germany, there is a belief that their Oden God made flights to look for people, so people had so many thoughts for mid-December. Even for Romans, 25th December is the day of the winter solstice.
