Veterans Day is celebrated on November 11 to commemorate veterans' sacrifice, courage, and bravery.
Veterans day, previously known as Armistice day
At the end of World War I, Veteran Day is set as a legal holiday.
On November 11, 1938, legislation was passed to celebrate the Day as a reason for peace in this world and hereafter.
This Day is Armistice Day in honor of veterans of World War 1.
In 1954, after Koren and World War II, The United Nations Congress replaced “Armistice” with the word “Veteran.”
This legislation was approved on June 1, 1954, that November 11 is the Day to honor all the veterans from wars.
“Veterans are the symbol of what makes our nation great, and we must never forget all they have done to ensure our freedom.”___ Rodney Frelinghuysen

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter the words but to live by them.”____ John F. Kennedy
There are different ideas to honor the sacrifices made for our freedom; some are,
Decorate the graves with flowers and flags to show solidarity with the veterans.
Send the care packages for those on the battlefield and cards to motivate them for what they are sacrificing.
Meet the people who fought for our country, meet your relatives who served the military, learn what you can do to be a responsible citizen and what you can do for your country.
Organize such programs to collect funds for the veterans, which might be helpful and motivate them.
“Honoring the sacrifice many have made for our country in the name of freedom and democracy is the very foundation of Veterans Day.”
Some people consider both days as the same day. For example, Veterans Day honors living veterans who served honorably in the military - wartime or peacetime, whereas Memorial Day honors service members who died in service to their country.
Some veterans are experienced hunters and enjoy Veterans Day with their friends and go on hunting adventures. The state has organized different hunting programs for the veterans. Various clubs also arrange hunting programs, like “TMDC veteran WATERFOWL HUNT” etc. This will honor those who served their country.
Maj. Vince Morris shared his hunting experience,
"I have served three tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan, and no one has ever done anything like that for me," said Morris. "I hope that one day I can get into a position to provide a similar experience to other veterans."
While you are arranging a veteran hunting program there are Military hunting requirements. Veteran valid hunting license, valid proof of veterans or active duty status issued by the U.S. Department of Defense or Veterans Affairs.
